On August 5, 2022 John Rivera passed away all too soon and has left a deep chasm in the hearts of the punk/hardcore community. John also leaves behind a legacy of records produced by his label Headfirst! Records. He created countless memories from hanging out with friends at punk/metal shows, wrestling matches, or comic shops. He carefully curated Punks on Paper – a comprehensive digital archive of North Carolina’s punk/hardcore scene.
Only a handful of individuals on Earth could bring together such a powerful reunification of musical juggernauts for one cold December day
ALL proceeds went to benefit his daughter, Penny and his Wife, Caroline.
