Another NC Hardcore / SolidState grail I’ve been hunting for the better part of a year. I first heard Beloved when given a copy of 2001’s “The Running” – produced by NC audio legend Mr. Jamie King of Swift (BTBAM, Glass Casket, He is Legend). Was fortunate to track a few records with him at The Basement Studio in Rural Hall, NC.
This particular record turned a lot of heads upon its highly anticipated release. NC was cranking out gold at the time. The 4 amazing bands previously listed – alongside Hopesfall, CodeSeven and Prayer for Cleansing to name just a few.
This is an original run from 2009 licensed via SolidState to Label: Broken Circles – BCR-004 Gold/Olive with Slight Marble. It appears only 190 of this variant was made. Bringing the total first-press production run to 1,125. 2019 saw a re-press with 500 of each variant and different updated artwork. Produced by Garth “GGGarth” Richardson and sounds amazing!
