Nashville – Les Pauls n’ Rat Burgers

Nashville, widely known as Music City–and for good reason. I didn’t try the hot chicken but it did find a White Castle! But seriously, if you’re a musician or enjoy live music, get here!

The Gibson Garage –
Arguably the most iconic guitar brand in rock ‘n’ roll are still handmade in Nashville. The Gibson Garage has every color, make, model and configuration you can think of. And their southern hospitality was top-notch! You could play any guitar, within reason. Most impressive were their aged Murphy’s lab collection. After looking at some of the price tags, I understand why they have their own security staff. Also home to Mesa Boogie. I don’t need a Dual-Rec …but now I really want one!

Carter Vintage Guitars –
The Les Paul is undeniably my favorite model guitar – and Carter’s housed a beautiful variety. But I’m also a sucker for Vintage Fender Mustangs. The staff was amazing, knowledgeable, and friendly. Shout out to Henry, he may have sold me on a beautiful Les Paul traditional flame top cherry burst. The selection at this store gave me anxiety. If I won the lottery, I wouldn’t tell anyone, but I’d be here!

Eastside Music Supply –
While at Carter’s, they directed me to EMS in search of stomp boxes (you can never have too many, right?). Did I mention their shop had four entire walls plus a display case dedicated to almost every brand of effects pedal manufacturer? A pizza 🍕 shaped pedal? Yes that too!

Grimey’s Record Store –
Conveniently located near Eastside was grimye’s. An iconic building which housed a wide variety of great vinyl. Nothing I like more than digging through bins for that hidden. gem. https://www.grimeys.com/

Although my trip was short and business related. I still carved out some time for these fine establishments!
