However, I also have many other facets of my life I am passionate about. I started this site to talk about some of those things. Whether it be guitars, guitar gear, Harley's, Jeep stuff, photography, vinyl or travels, I'll be on here to chat about it. Stay Weird, Stay Creative!

Brain Fallon at Neighborhood Theatre 02/19/2022

With The Gaslight Anthem on indefinite hiatus, lead singer and Jersey native Brian Fallon has taken his solo show on the road. Brian Fallon & The Howling Weather performed at Neighborhood Theatre 02/19/2022 to a full house. Fallon has released 3 solo records after The Gaslight Anthem’s 2014 “Get Hurt” LP. My favorite of which is 2016’s “Pain Killers” … This is not his first stab at non-Gaslight material. Fallon and guitarist Ian Perkins formed […]

A Taste of Jersey – Garden State Comfort Foods

Say what ya want about Jersey…. but their food is amazing!  I spent my youth growing up in The Garden State rooting for The Giants and idolizing Springsteen. However, more important than that are certain comfort foods I can NOT leave without eating.  Here are my top favorites!  Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese – A true NJ staple. The war over the name is even legendary. South Jersey says it’s called “Pork Roll” and North Jersey “Taylor

VOICE OF THE WORLD – Orange PPC412

Alright… So I shall pay respect to my first born. I have owned a Marshall 1960b 4×12 since 2001. It has seen 48 states, been dropped, set on fire, thrown in tour vans and trailers, and had beers splashed on it.  “the most ruggedly built ones out there and are designed to take the abuse of hardcore touring. That’s why you see so many used ones that are battered on the outside, but still work

American Aquarium – The Neighborhood Theater – Dec 2, 2021

It’s wild to see the progression and journey of a band. I first met BJ at Slim’s in Raleigh in the late 2000’s… In both of our wilder younger days. No one was really doing “Alt country” back then, most of us were metal dudes. I already had respect for him. It was not til years later did I realize BJ and Co had made a name for themselves. I was stoked to be involved

I don’t like material things. I like stamps in my passport and the photos to prove it. Hence, Covid has been hell. I like to leave the US as much as possible. My very good friend invited me to Mexico 🇲🇽 why not? These American Airlines FF points are just sitting here. So a few things…. Flying during Covid is no joke. Masks on the flight the whole time, paperwork, etc. but once I got

MIZU JAPANESE – FIRST LOOK – SOUTHPARK

Chef Michael Chanthavong really knocked this menu out of the park. He rolled out a bunch of plates for myself and editor Cathy Martin of South Park Magazine. Everything was delicious!! From meat, to seafood to veggies! At Mizu, guests can grab a seat at the counter and watch behind a glass partition as the chefs prepare dishes such as robata-grilled oysters topped with yuzu corn butter, panko and spicy aioli.
