Orange Crush Pro 120w Head – Review

Alright so I am going to preference this post with the statement “I am an ALL tube British amplifier guy” however, this solid state Orange Crush Pro 120 is amazing!!  I snagged this off Facebook Marketplace for a few hundred bucks and I am blown away! I know there is a large group of Orange Amplification fans who are puresits about vintage gear and tubes… and I am cool with that. That is how I am with Marshall Amps. […]

Glassjaw – Justin Beck Guitar Covers

One of my all time favorite bands over the past 20 years has been glassJAw. Justin Beck is a very interesting guitar player. He uses the guitar like an abstract painter uses a canvas. Yes, some of their riffs are technical with weird time signatures and changes; but he does not adhere to any rules. Noise is good, and it works! He is extremely innovative and these songs were fun to learn. Enjoy! Here are

First Look – Warmack

From the recent article at South Park Magazine: Comfort-food cravings and obsessive, gotta-have-it snack attacks, while known to strike at any time, are particularly acute when approaching the bewitching hour. For Charlotte hospitality veteran and restaurateur James Nguyen, the inability to find a late-night spot in his Plaza Midwood neighborhood to satisfy longings for the foods he grew up with — piquant and earthy Vietnamese banh mi, shrimp crisps, and slow-braised pork belly rice bowls

Anthony Smith of Chef’s Kitchen

Since his first restaurant job at age 17, Charlotte Chef Anthony Smith has worked tirelessly to beat the odds in a tough business. It’s a great read! Justin DriscollHello, my name is Justin Driscoll. Meck Dec Day

I had the pleasure of photographing the 246th anniversary of the Mecklenburg county Declaration of Independence signing. I think I’m still partially deaf from all the Canon fire, yes you read that right. They fired off a large colonial cannon numerous times. Charlotte celebrated the 246th anniversary of the signing of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence on Thursday, May 20 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Victoria Yards in Uptown Charlotte with period re-enactors, speeches and a reading of the Mecklenburg Declaration. Re-enactors, including Members of

Febreze Fade Defy Plug

I recently worked with Peter Mutabazi Foster Dad and co on a campaign for Febreze. “As a single dad who’s juggling parenting, a career, and running a home business it’s really helpful that the Febreze Fade Defy PLUG has an LED indicator that lights up to let us know when it’s time for a refill. Perfect for our busy family! The Febreze Fade Defy PLUG is a new mass plug-in with built-in microchip technology that digitally

NIRVANA Vinyl Collection

This post was inspired by the Vinyl Carolina Facebook group I am a member of. So… I don’t collect or fanboy over bands. The only band I was ever obsessive with was Nirvana. They just came along at the right time in my life. They helped me discover myself and punk rock at a very young age. Here are some vinyl I have collected through the years. Some of these are signed. My 7″ Sliver sleeve was

Carolina Farm Trust Groundbreaking – Largest Urban Farm in Area

I had the privilege of joining the Carolina Farm Trust on their largest undertaking yet. The groundbreaking on a 28-acre urban farm site in Huntersville, NC. It will be among North Carolina’s largest urban farms. Located near Huntington Greene – an economically-stressed community that is predominantly home to Latinx residents – FSF will serve those residents and neighboring communities who face barriers in accessing fresh, nutritious, affordable food. The operation will be a living and working farm

SouthPark Magazine Feature “Divine Design”

I was super excited to see the renovated church that now is home to Supperland. Their attention to detail is amazing. Everything from food to cocktails to desert and of course decor was top notch. Really fun shoot with great folks! “No details were spared at Supperland, the highly anticipated new restaurant in a former church in Plaza Midwood. For foodies and craft cocktail lovers, the March 3 opening of Supperland has been a long

The Sick and The Well – Music Video Shoot

I am going to have to be vague about some of the details of this project since it is still a work in progress. Basically this is a new band concept called “The Sick and The Well”…. It is very heavily based on story and visuals. The project initially started prior to Covid and spawned into what we are working on now. Singer, producer & songwriter Kit Walters is at the helm with guitarist Spencer
